Lucid dreaming tips and experiences

I wish I could lucid dream. I just woke up from dreaming about a girl from high school I haven't seen or thought about for years. I barely even talked to her, and yet I had such a powerful dream about her. She admitted she loved me and that I didn't get all of the hints she dropped back in school (this is all made up, of course). In my dream I started piecing together what she meant and felt angry for not realising sooner, for all the wasted time I spent without her. I told her I loved her too, then we just sat huddled on my bed where it meets the corner of the room and cuddled for what felt like hours. And it was perfect. I doubt the moment could have felt better in real life.

not gonna lie, lucid dreaming is pretty neato

Not sure if troll, but...

Is it easy to learn? How long did it take you?

Wait till saturday.
Set your alarm till a couple hours before you get up.
Have a drink or something.
Internets/tv or something for a few hours.
Remove any distractions, lie down on bed, be comfortable. Must lie on back to sleep.
Close eyes and just concentrate on going back to sleep. If you concentrate hard enough you can feel you brain slipping away and catch it in time to enjoy being awake and asleep at the same time.
Just keep a look out for that free-thinking that comes as the brain settles down.
Hypnogogic hallucinations. It's quite bizarre.

I've tried to achieve this a lot. Never managed to, but my brother spontaneously gets them ever since I told him about them. F**k I'm jealous.
>Must lie on back to sleep.
I think this might be my problem. I always sleep on my stomach.

My fave is thinking about a sound or someone calling gout, and then you realise you "heard" it.

Easy as hell man, the only thing I really can't do is teleport.
I had the most f**kawesome dream this morning, I took out my flying skateboard for a spin. That has to be my favourite thing ever, which makes my life pretty sad but it's still really cool.
Anyway, it's MUCH easier to lucid in the morning. The first time I tried it I had four or five half-lucid dreams in a row before I was able to control them.
What I do is wake up early, do something that requires brain thought for less than a minute (usually zombie-walking to the toilet, taking a piss, focusing on random stuff for a few seconds then collapsing back into bed) and then falling back to sleep.
Works nearly every time and while it may feel like ages, mine are usually ten minutes tops and when I wake up I can go straight back to sleep and do it again :)
Some really good adviceice I got from a friend: when you feel yourself waking up (and you'll be able to feel it) then spin in circles and squeeze your toes together and focus on that feeling.

Have fun man!

Yeah..apparently it's more likely to happen when lying on back.

Sometimes I think there might be a difference between "lucid dreaming"and what I described above. The hallucinations are just that, it feels so real. If it goes on long enough it sort of fades into dreams but more often then not it's just a strange experience for 10 minutes or so then I wake up.
Don't you feel when you lie down to sleep, after a while you mind frees up and suddenly thinking about things is so much smoother. That's the indicator.
Suddenly feels as though I'm moving, sound pounding in my ears, being kicked or sliding off the bed. Then I'm back again, lying on the bed, but this time I'm dreaming and anything can happen.

It's pretty fun when your body goes into paralysis when you lie there like that. After a while I get these super strong tingling sensations all over, and then my body goes completely numb and relaxed. Never gotten an LD though.

Yeah, sometimes feels as though it's paralyzed but more often it's just a bit of pressure for a short time.
Sometimes it becomes real sinister though, like figures suddenly hovering next to my bed or choking the sh*t out of me. In which case I try snap out of it.
It's understandable how some people get these alien abduction ideas.

I never get hallucinations that strong, only disorganised thoughts and light auditory hallucinations. The physical sensation is strong as f**k though, it feels like my whole skin is vibrating at an insane rate. I get the urge to smile from it.
>sometimes it gives me a boner lol

i lucid dream every time i sleep. my dreams are usually really ugly. i get a lot of incest dreams. don't know why. i can also see future events before they happen, but they are things i can't prevent or alter, i just notice them. i can fly and sh*t and hear what people are saying behind my back too.

I've had one lucid dream, i made everything slow mo and then flew, clipped a mountain and woke up. Sh*t was awesome.

You're not thinking about aliens in the right way.
Don't imagine little green men, travelling from space.
Instead, try extradimensional beings, giving you a little visit in your head.

I remember these dark shadowy figures with red eyes whisping towards me (on the couch) and reaching out to kill me. I still remember the pure fear I felt.

sadly for most newbies achieving Hypnogogic hallucinations can be quite hard to do.
Took me 6 months to get it down. There are naturals though, but not many that I know of.

I've had this happen to me several times. Usually it's involved me all of the sudden hearing music I've never heard before, like I've invented an awesome new song or something.
And then there was the one time I drowned and was certain I could actually feel the last desperate bubbles of air coming out of my mouth...
