Mindless and easy jobs

I think I may have stumbled across the easiest job I will ever have. It's part time, and minimum wage, yes, but I've put more effort into dressing in the morning than I have in whole shifts here.
I work at a little delivery outpost for a dry cleaning place. Basically, I take the clothes in, and give the clothes back. That's about it. Occasionally I scrub a couple of shirt collars, but the place has such a minimal flow of customers that I can just sit in the back and read for upwards of an hour with no interruption. Oh yeah, you're allowed to bring books, and hobbies and stuff.
If anyone has/had a job that's required little to no effort, share with the rest of us.

>>little to no customers
>>boss allows employees to dick about and do nothing
Good luck working for a sh*tty business that is most likely going to collapse in 2 months.

it's a mafia front

I'm an aviation weather briefer at a location that has no aircraft stationed there.
I pretty much IRC all day and occasionally feign effort when my boss gives me a trivial task (which is apparently a big effort for him).
Oh yeah, I make 23/hr with full government benefits.

I spent three consecutive weeks at work last summer sitting in a control room babysitting a special hard drive that was not supposed to be left unsupervised. I came in in the morning, fell asleep for two hours, read, ate lunch, slept for three more hours, and then went home an hour early. Nobody gave a f**k.

I almost want to say government jobs are cheating, but I guess the challenge was open to all comers.

The sad thing is probably work harder than 95% of other government employees.

They pay someone to watch a harddrive?
For what?

Working in my school's library during the summer was always the sh*t. It was the summer, so nobody came in. I just f**ked around on the internet all day.

My dad used to be a QA guy for a pharmecutical plant. He gave me and my brother summer jobs when we were like, 14, though we had no real title. The first half of the summer was supposed to be inventorying raw materials, which consisted of getting some mexicans to bring in loads of stuff on pallettes, putting it on a scale, and writing down the weight.
The rest of the summer was just chilling in the lab with these two bro guys who did formulations. Which meant 90% of the day was just spent goofing off in the lab doing absolutely nothing.
I used to climb on top of the giant storage shelves in the back and sleep all day, or play video games on the computer of some dude who only came in once a month.

civil engineer for city gov
$25/hr and i will never, ever, ever get fired/laid off unless i shoot up the place

Gas-station attendant, but only during the summer. Spring/Summer/Fall, the gas station in really busy, but come summer time most people here leave for vacations, and everyone else doesn't use the road we're on to get to work, or back. So I stand around for 8 hours a day throwing a football around with the other employees while we blast music. Sh*t is so cash.

I work as a tech for sports games, in australia, don't get me wrong i love the job and it requires some skill. But providing that nothing breaks i can set up in 2 hours and then for the next 6 watch the game, read, free food and drink. Pays $35 an hour. however it is only like once a week work

Job's like this are the best but I would be to freaked out about being fired or laid off from it. I mean your boss sees you doing jack sh*t and he begins to question if he even needs you. Either that or the business fails.

I buy scrap gold, silver, precious metals etc...for a living. It basically consists of rubbing little pieces of metal on a stone and talking to people. That's it. I made >100k last year.
I'd just like to thank everyone in the financial sector and government for f**king up things so badly, that I no longer have to work for a living.

Part-time, flexible hours at a local aviation supplies store. Considering I spend most of my time at the airport (f**k yeah CPL training), this is awesome for me. I get to know the people, the terminology, and I've made a few contacts.
Also, I get a discount on the supplies. Considering that a single VNC chart costs quite a bit, this is awesome.

Sounds chill. How is the beer in Australia?

When I was in Uni doing a CS degree I got a job as a night shift sysadmin. My job was basically to watch the servers and fix anything that went wrong. The first few days I got taught everything then I just turned up and said bye to the day shift guy and hello to the morning shoft guys. After 3 weeks I was beginning to worry that something was wrong because I saw and heard no one at all, but I got paid all the same. The job lasted two and a half years and I saw no one. I'd like to thank Linus Torvalds for his Linux operating system which did not fail on several hundred systems in 2 and a half systems.
I read a lot of books, got all my Uni work done and played a little too much Runescape.

Tooheys extra dry is a nice brew, you cannot even buy fosters here

Corona's pretty boss, too. Not the same without a lime.

My job is easy too, but boring
I get $14.20(nzd) per hour for counting sh*t in supermarkets. I count whats on the shelf, scan it, enter the number into the scanner. I work 32 hour weeks and its a different place every day, 4 days a week. I get paid for my petrol (they pay me twice what my car uses) and when we work out of town we get really nice accomodation and eat at restaurants and occasionally get $50 spending limit to buy our own food.
JEALOUS MUCH?

Yeah, supermarket merchandising is a dream job. If you're a mindless drone.

I had a job for 2 weeks once that paid $22.50(NZD) per hour, and Id sit in a beach all day in the middle of the summer and count people. It averaged at about 10 people per day, Im not joking. The last day was a public holiday and there were 400 people but thats all. I literally sat around reading, listening to music, and swimming all day. It was lovely and I mad a couple thousand dollars. You wouldnt even need to pay me to do it really.

Its actually stocktake but its pretty much the same. I work with 30 other people and we just turn off our brains and chill out and count. Its f**king easy. Gets boring as sh*t after a while though.

I'd be wearing sunglasses indoors and practicing my skank walk for that sh*t.

I work for an electronic market research company.
I basically worked my way into a job where I surf web for a few hours, write a brief summary of the best stuff I saw, send it by email to work, then surf even more.
I'm working write now, getting paid pretty well because I have a marketing degree too.
: D

Okay, I think you win.

I teach instrumental music. It's fun and it pays $30 an hour for someone who has no degrees and one year of part-time experience. My employer is so chill you could keep beer in him, and we've got access to a recording studio.
I love my job.
