Tips for cold sores

Can you guys tell me the fastest way to get rid of a cold sore? I'm dying here.

I've taken zovirax for it. Worked well enough.
There are little patches made to look like skin which help to conceal it if it's a physical problem for you, but for me the biggest bitch is always IT ITCHES IT ITCHES OF F**K IT ITCHES SO GOD DAMN MUCH. To which I know nothing about how to stop.
Whilst I'm replying... cold sores are a virus you can never get rid of. The outside effects are temporary (last up to ten days), but it lasts your entire life (although can be weakened the more time it breaks out). Breakouts caused by stress or illness, blah blah blah...
If this is your first time, expect it another four or five (or more) times in your life, mostly whilst young. Those nice cream drugs though work best if you learn to tackle it when it feels like a warm tingly sensation. Although for the life of me I've never once caught it in that stage, it's always the blister stage I realise "Oh f**k". Always assume it's acne before that. =/

You're f**ked, once you've got it the virus never goes, only weakens. But if stress or illness weakens your immune system you'll get another outbreak, and that pattern will continue for the rest of your life. Herpes virus ftl.

Yes, I'm aware of this. I'm not asking for a cure for the virus, just a way to get rid of the cold sore.

Use Abreva the SECOND you feel the obnoxious tingle in your lip. If you use it any later than that, you pretty much have to go through the entire cycle.

There really isn't much to do about cold sores. Make sure you drink out of everyone else's cup or bottle though. Sharing is caring.

YES! It's uncommon but yes, you can. Especially right before an outbreak.

swish it around the sore for 30 seconds.
Advised: repeat every 6 hours
Happy fun time: repeat every 30 minutes

Don't touch your eyes, pecker or a**hole with the same towel you dry/wash your face with. Wash your hands after touching it.

That is personal preference, for me, letting it dry out or keeping it moisturized didn't make it go away any faster.

Some people do but it becomes less effective due to tolerance, I usually only take it once i fell the tingle or the start of a cold sore showing up them i take a few a day. It does really make a difference I also use comped patches so it don't scab over and they don't look as back

Well I only take about 2000mg when I have the cold sore after that I stop, daily doses people take are 500mg I think but if you take it only during the cold sore I don't think there is much worry.
